The playoff picture is confusing, especially if you're in the AFC. For the Green Bay Packers there is only one scenario that truly matters, that being that they are in the playoffs. Right now they sit relatively comfortable in the fifth seed, but just in case you're curious, here is what might happen when all is said and done and where the Packers might be headed for round one of the NFC Playoffs.

NFC Playoffs as of 12/29
NFC
Seed Team Division Record
1 (yz*) South 13-2-0
2 (x) East 11-4-0
3 (y) North 11-4-0
4 (y) West 10-5-0
5 (x) North 10-5-0
6 (x) East 10-5-0

If the Packers win on Sunday:

If the Packers beat the Cardinals on Sunday they would finish the season 11-5, the Cardinals would finish 10-6, that would solidify the Cardinals as the 4th seed.

Should the Packers beat the Cardinals they would head to Arizona for the first round, regardless of the outcomes of the other games. A Green Bay win locks both the Packers and the Cardinals in as the 5th and 6th seeds respectively.

If the Packers lose on Sunday:

Here is where things get really interesting. If the Packers lose on Sunday to the Cardinals they would finish the season 10-6. The Cardinals would finish 11-5.

If the Eagles beat the Cowboys and the Vikings win on Sunday, the Packers would play Arizona in round one.

If the Eagles beat the Cowboys and the Vikings lose on Sunday, the Packers would play Minnesota in round.

If the Cowboys beat the Eagles and the Vikings win on Sunday, the Packers would play Arizona in round one. The Packers would be the 6th seed.

If the Cowboys beat the Eagles and the Vikings lose on Sunday, the Packers would play Dallas in round one. The Packers would be the 6th seed.

Those are the scenarios for where Green Bay may wind up in the NFC Divisional Round. Should the Packers win they will see Arizona in a rematch in two weeks. If the Packers were to drop this game on Sunday, there are a few different places they could wind up, most notably Minnesota. I'm sure Packer fans would not be disappointed to have another shot at Brett Favre and the Vikings.
